The name Maitreya is derived from the Sanskrit 'maitri' meaning 'universal loving-kindness'.


Maitreya Yoga Studio is dedicated to promoting overall well-being to people of all ages and abilities by creating an integrated approach to a healthy lifestyle. Our beautiful studio, conveniently located in the heart of Manotick, close to Barrhaven, Riverside South, Greely, Osgoode, Kars, Richmond and North Gower, offers you an amazing atmosphere where you can take a break from everyday life and find your own authentic mind/body experience. Develop strength, flexibility, balance and stamina, release your mind or simply relax and enjoy the healing properties of yoga.


Maitreya Yoga Studio offers a wide variety of classes taught by passionate individuals in a friendly positive and nurturing environment that supports you, whether you are just a beginner or are a more experienced practitioner. Join us for a Hatha, Gentle, Hot, Power, Yin or Restorative Yoga Class. We also offer unique classes such as SpinFit & Yoga and Fusion.


Some cultures depict Maitreya as the Laughing Buddha whom you will meet every time you step onto our studio floor. One popular belief in folklore states that rubbing the Laughing Buddha's belly brings wealth, good luck, and prosperity.

Improve movement in your muscles and joints, and increase range of motion and flexibility with these easy to use Yoga Tune Up® therapy balls for self-massage. This class will wind down with a restorative posture to allow your body to surrender to deep relaxation.

Join Carole for this unstructured class that will allow you to explore Yoga postures in a brand new way.  The wall provides feedback, supports alignment and increases body awareness so that you can fine tune common Yoga poses tha may be a part of your regular practice.  Work with your body and use the wall to improve your standing poses, inversions, forward bends and twists.  Break up your routine and try something different . . . Yoga is a journey of self-discovery.
